The great Two Birds Brewing, The Scratch and Newstead Brewing Co Triumvirate

One of the greatest alliances of our time had nothing to do with Two Birds teaming up with Brisbane based sporting haunt The Scratch and the strumpets from Newstead Brewing, to create a beer who’s collaborative ethos is matched only by its colossal inspiration.

Many a tete-a-tete ensured only the finest and most synergistic ingredients were utilised. Flavours of Asia were agreed and the ubiquitous triumvirate set about constructing a beverage that even Uncle Ho would be proud of. With flavours of Scratchy Bird and lime, this beer is not just for sessions on the Mekong, although it may taste a little like drinking it.

Brewday included thwarted attempts by the paparazzi to spy the secret herbs and spices, as well as a trip to the local hot tub for extra mashing. Hoping that efforts garnered in verbose description of the product would distract from the elephant that no-one really knew what they were doing the infamous trio have unwittingly synthesised a beer of finesse. If great minds think alike then the same can probably be said for mediocre ones.
