For a year and a half now, The Fifth Province has had the pleasure of tapping up some of the finest local, national and international craft brews and sharing it with the St Kilda community, as well as smashing a few Guinness! We pride ourselves on offering genuine Irish hospitality to whoever the hell wants it...

This year we thought we might bring more of a literal taste of home and that's when we got speaking to Vinny. Vincent McGrath, the Melbourne representative for Glendalough Whiskey (just one of many new distilleries that have opened up across Ireland) helped us get in contact with the lads from The 5 Lamps Brewery in Dublin's Liberties (just one of the many breweries that have opened up across Ireland in recent years).

The boys from 5 Lamps are a major player in the ressurgance of a once rich and lucrative Dublin brewing and distilling scene and thankfully they have decided to share that, somewhere else, for the very first time. The 5 Lamps Dublin Brewery was set up in early 2012 and their first beer The 5 Lamps Dublin Lager was launched in September 2012. Their first home was down on the North Strand by the iconic Five Lamps and hence their name.

In short, we're getting Irish craft beer and tapping it up in an Irish pub, in Melbourne. With several different flavours, including a beer brewed especially for the event, beer infused cooking, boilermakers with Glendalough whiskey and live music all week!
