Bikes and Beer: Join Bridge Road Brewers and Rockwell and Sons as they hijack the CyclingTips monthly Friday Sickie ride. A significant road cycling loop from the city finishing at Rockwell for a beer and a bite. Bridge Road Brewers will shout a beer to all ride participants upon arrival at Rockwell and Sons.
Cyclingtips.com.au is an internationally renowned website, who also enjoy getting people together for a ride.
This event is broken into two separate the parts, an unsupported 'Friday Sickie' group ride and a post ride lunch open to all (cyclists and non cyclists).
To book your spot for lunch ($28) please select session 2. It will sell fast, so if you are riding book early.
The ride will begin at 8.00am sharp from the "teardrop" on Yarra Bld Kew (https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.8010058,145.0057483,17z) heading North-East of the city and taking riders out on a ~90km loop with approx 1500m of elevation and potentially some gravel.
As mentioned the ride is unsupported and separate from any ticketed event, where we provide the route and organise the company and riders look after themselves and all responsibilities. The loop will finish near Rockwell and Sons, where Bridge Road Brewers will provide free post ride pint to all riders.
The Friday Sickie lunch will be available by ticket only (they will sell fast). Lunch will be from 1pm, ticket includes food only, beverages at own expense. Bikes will be secured in a gated alleyway at Rockwell during lunch.
