Eydie’s - 86 Lygon St, Brunswick East
Your new shoes look shit-hot but they pinch a bit and you left the EG on the tram because everyone’s iPhone all rang at once and you had to get off quick, so now you’re in gelati-neon Lygon Street East Brunswick, that wide bit, you know, and the trams keep rattling and there’s like a billion cars woofering down the road, but there’s a door, and there’s a vibe, a small and cosy, low-lit and friendly room kind of like home but better because there’s quality beers on tap and or in beautiful little brown bottles and there’s music spinning off the turntable, and look, some of your friends and talking about Julia and Mel and Gary and Hamid and Louise. You sit down. Your feet don’t hurt anymore. Happy days.
