The Royal Saxon will be hosting an exclusive Discover Italy event in the upstairs on Thursday 19th May. Come and celebrate all things Italian as we feast on the delicious handy work of Head Chef Simone Righetto, learn about all things Italian beer from the team at Birra del Borgo and soak up the atmosphere in the Saxon's stunning upstairs bar and balcony.
Righetto hails from Verona in Northern Italy and is renowned for his modern take on classic recipes. Come and join him for handmade pasta, salumi misti and what is arguably some of the best pizza in Melbourne as he talks us through what inspires his dishes and let's us all in on a few trade secrets.
We will also be joined by the team from Birra del Borgo who will be expertly matching beers to each of Righetto's courses and educating us all on Italian beers and brewing throughout the evening.
This experience is relaxed and informal, with courses designed to be served canape style, roaming the floor with the matched beers.
