Specifically designed for the space conscious brewer, this System Wars focuses on the small-footprint single-vessel brewing systems that dominate the home brewing scene.
Accomplished pro brewers will demonstrate how to make great beer at home with simple but extensible brew rigs, crazy ghetto beer machines or state of the art automated brewing systems while sharing their expertise.
Brewers will be handed identical sacks of grain and an opportunity to spin the infamous Wheel of Beer. At the end of the mashing process, each brewer will be called upon to spin a second time to determine the hops to be used in their brew.
Join Dereck from Bad Shepherd, Jayne from Two Birds Brewing, Hendo from BrewCult, Ian Morgan from Mountain Goat, Ferg McGregor from West City Brewing and Starward Distillery's Sam Slaney as they create one-off brews for subsequent tasting and judging.
Hosted by the inimitable Geoff Hammond, the brewery will rock, swing and gently sway to an original music score by our own Maestro of the Mash, Ben Soulsby.

Two Birds Brewing will make a limited edition Fresh Wort Kit with the same ingredients on their 1800litre production brewery. Buy one for the romance and the memories. Bar: 11am onwards. Food: From Midday. Brewing: 11am-3pm.
